The Volutes natural rattan headboard takes a classic pattern from 60s rattan furniture and will bring an exotic and vintage charm to your bedroom.

It exploits the specificity of rattan to be able to bend easily when heated.

For the edge of the headboard, we heat a rattan rod, straight at the start, in a very long oven and at 120°. It is then bent while still hot and by hand, on wooden or metal templates. Once cooled, it retains its new shape.

For the scroll pattern, the technique is different. We take a special variety of rattan, thin in diameter, but 15 m long in one piece. The rattan craftsman will then, freehand and with a blowtorch, gradually bend and fix each volute of this long stick directly in the frame. Small ligatures will hide the fixings at the junction points. 

The rattan headboard is available in a single size which adapts to beds of 140, with a small overhang of 10cm on each side, or 160. It can be fixed to the wall or to the box spring using the fittings offered in option.
